Jane Goodall, the distinguished primatologist has been awarded two prizes today: the French 'Legion d'Honneur' and UNESCO's 60th Anniversary medal. They are timely rewards for a lifetime's work at a moment when tropical forests and the primates and other wildlife that live within them are more threatened than ever by man's activities.
Have a look at the website of the Jane Goodall Institute here and let her convince you to become the proud foster parent of a baby chimp orphaned by hunters of 'bush meat'.
